FRESH START Retreat

Deepen your healing journey after trauma. Reclaim your life—and feel whole again.

Fresh Start is an intensive 7-day retreat  designed for men and women who want to understand, process, and heal from unresolved trauma, neglect, and abuse.

Described by participants as “ life-transforming” and “an oasis of healing,” the Fresh Start retreat is the first of its kind in the orthodox Jewish world, developed under the guidance and leadership of a team of world-renowned trauma experts, licensed clinical therapists, doctors, and rabbonim to combine proven treatment principles with authentic Torah values.

The quiet, breathtaking surroundings and luxury accommodations create the ideal backdrop for deep emotional healing and profound rediscovery of self.

Facilitated by highly-skilled, masters-level therapists, our program is inspired by the work of some of the foremost giants in clinical trauma work, healing, and recovery, including Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk, Dr. Janina Fisher, Dr. Peter Levine, Pia Mellody, Dr. Ken Adams, and others.

Our team is further supervised, guided and trained by Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk, Rabbi Shimon Russell, Dr. Janina Fisher, Dr. Ken Adams, Dr.  Jacob Ham, Sarah Bridge, and others, allowing us to better understand  the unique culture within the orthodox Jewish community, and the potential for  religious abuse and trauma.

Participants will benefit from a combination of modalities, including attachment theory, inner child work, neurobiology and somatic work, self-regulation, mindfulness, family systems, psychodrama, and more.

This retreat will help you approach your past with compassion, while teaching you new skills to “re-parent” yourself.

This will create the environment to help you let go of negative messages and emotions that are based on painful early experiences in your life, thereby allowing you to be more free to connect with your authentic self, resulting in a life of meaning and fulfillment.

DON'T SURVIVE. THRIVE.

Endorsed by the Stoliner Rebbe of Eretz Yisroel.

This retreat will enable participants to:

  • Gain insight about how your past experiences and relationships impact your present functioning
  • Develop skills related to emotion regulation and appropriate boundary setting
  • Strategies for ongoing management of stress and conflict
  • Explore the origins of your self-defeating behaviors and increase your self-esteem through the processing and release of old wounds
  • Reclaim your authentic self and move toward emotional freedom
  • Learn how your spirit, body & mind respond to trauma
  • Create a better relationship with your spouse
  • Better understand and connect with your children
